Panasonic unveils India’s first radiant cooling air-conditioner

Hyderabad: Leading the way in technology, innovation and design, Panasonic India Pvt Ltd on Tuesday unveiled India’s first-of-its-kind air-conditioner with radiant cooling technology in New Delhi. With this launch, Panasonic is aiming at capturing over 10 percent market share and 30 percent growth in the air-conditioner segment in FY 2017-18.

The Japanese brand introduced the SKY series in the inverter segment, providing the next generation of cooling experience.

Manish Sharma, South Asia President and CEO at Panasonic India, said: “We’re looking at 30-35 per cent growth in our air conditioner sales in the next fiscal helped by a range of innovative products.”

Dia Mirza, a popular actress, filmmaker and conservationist, unveiled the new series. Tadashi Chiba, Divisional Marketing Director (consumer marketing division), Panasonic India, and Mohammed Hussain, Business Head (air conditioning group), Panasonic India, were present at the event.

The Elite inverter range will be available in 1 and 1.5 tonnage capacity at an entry price of Rs70,200 and Rs 85,200 respectively.
