State Bank of India (SBI) announced the formation of New Telangana Circle with effect from April 24, 2017. Hardayal Prasad, Chief General Manager, SBI, inaugurated the new circle for Telangana state at the local Head Office at Koti, Hyderabad. The newly formed Telangana Circle with 1,300 Branches, 2,500 ATMs, will cater to the needs of 31 districts of Telangana State.

Hyderabad: State Bank of India (SBI) announced the formation of New Telangana Circle with effect from April 24, 2017. Hardayal Prasad, Chief General Manager, SBI, inaugurated the new circle for Telangana state at the local Head Office at Koti, Hyderabad. The newly formed Telangana Circle with 1,300 Branches, 2,500 ATMs, will cater to the needs of 31 districts of Telangana State .

Speaking on the occasion, Prasad stated that “consequent upon merger of five associate banks and Bharatiya Mahila Bank, SBI has emerged as the 45th largest Bank in the world with a branch network of 22,500, 58,000 ATMs, 2,77,000 staff and with a balance sheet size of Rs42 lakh crores. Now SBI is aiming to reach 30th position in the world by 2020.

An increased network of branches and additional staff force will enable the bank to achieve this goal.” He stressed upon the need for more focus on customer satisfaction and an effective implementation of digital products of the bank. SBI has 14 circles in the country and upon merger, two more administrative and business units have been formed in Andhra Pradesh and Rajastan.

General Managers Giridhara Kini, UN Mayya, Sadasiva Bhat, Circle Development Officer R Radha Krishna, Sarma, General Secretary of SBISUHC, Subrahmanyam, General Secretary of Officers Association. were present at the occasion.
