Bhopal: Union Minister of State, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (Independent Charge) Shri Rajiv Pratap Rudy launched Mukhyamantri Koshal Samvardhan Yojana and Mukhyamantri Koshailya Yojana in the state today. The two schemes were launched under MP Skill Mission under which a total of three lakh youths will be trained every year. Among the dignitaries present on the occasion were Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Minister of State for Technical Education and Skill Development Shri Deepak Joshi, Ms. Kalpana Srivastava, Principal Secretary, Technical Education, Mr. Sanjeev Singh, CEO, Madhya Pradesh State Skill Development Mission.
On the occasion, Shri Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan, said: "Skill development is the need of the hour.It will make the huge population of the country our strength." He also added that an MoU has been signed with Singapore to launch Global Skill Centre in Bhopal”
An MoU was also signed between Madhya Pradesh State Skill Development Mission (MPSSDM) and Apparel Training and Design Centre (ATDC) in the august presence of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan. Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Minister of State for Technical Education and Skill Development Shri Deepak Joshi, Ms. Kalpana Srivastava, Principal Secretary, Technical Education, Mr. Sanjeev Singh, CEO, Madhya Pradesh State Skill Development Mission. The MoU was signed between Dr. Darlie Koshy, DG&CEO,ATDC and Mr. Sanjeev Singh, CEO, Madhya Pradesh State Skill Development Mission
On the occasion, Dr. Darlie Koshy, DG&CEO, ATDC, said: “ATDC has the unique distinction of offering courses from ‘300 hrs’ for workforce training to 3000 hrs of B.Voc Bachelor degree courses for supervisory and junior managerial jobs thus developing a holistic eco-system of vocational training dedicated to Textile-Apparel value chain. Through Pan-India 200 State-of-art Centres, ATDC equips the youth with domain and soft skills for getting ‘wage employment’ or for starting their own entrepreneurial ventures. In ATDC curricula, special focus is being given to real-life industrial work-culture and competencies to pursue not just an entry-level job in organised factories but also to develop a ‘career’ in the rapidly growing apparel industry. ATDC has been transitioning from just “imparting skills” to developing “Skills-Excellence” for industry-ready workforce and professionals over the last decade and are now making rapid strides as the industry modernises, automates and scales up”
An MoU has been signed initially for the period of three years, and it aims at imparting employment oriented training and encourages entrepreneurship through Skill Development to the youth. According to the MoU, ATDC will train 10,000 youth every year. ATDC has proposed to start training initially at 16 ATDC skill camps in Madhya Pradesh.
Madhya Pradesh has natural requirement of skilled manpower for garment and textile industries. To fulfill the objective, ATDC has set up its training centers at different locations of the state. Main Hubs are at Indore, Chhindwara and Bhopal catering to respective regions.
On the occasion, the program ‘Rozgar ki Padhai, Chale ITI’ was also launched to attract youth towards skill development.
