Hyderabad: Daily price change of petrol and diesel across the country by public sector oil companies IndianOil (IOC), BPCL and HPCL will commence from June 16 onwards, following the success of a pilot implementation in five cities.
The move will ensure that the benefit of even the smallest change in international oil prices can be passed down the line to the dealers and end consumers.
The seamless execution of the 40-day pilot in five cities Vishakhapatnam, Chandigarh, Jamshedpur, Puducherry and Udaipur has reassured all stakeholders on the efficacy of its implementation mechanism.
The oil companies will conduct extensive training for dealers to ensure that customers don’t face any pricing misinformation or glitches.
