Hyderabad: Samsung India on Wednesday announced inauguration of its digital academy in the city. The digital academy will work closely with Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) for enhancing skill set and employability of local youth. Telangana IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan inaugurated Samsung Digital Academy.

Speaking on the occasion, Jayesh Ranjan stressed on the need for youth to be skilled on “new technologies that will help them in seeking more avenues in the current dynamic changing IT world and a course on TIZEN Operating System is one such opportunity.” Samsung Digital Academy conducted a faculty orientation programme at the newly inaugurated lab for faculty from several engineering colleges in the State.

Sujiv Nair, CEO, TASK, said: “This Samsung Digital Academy reflects enhanced skilling synergy between Samsung and the Telangana government. The youth, who complete this course, will be part of an exciting, new era in smart devices that will shape the future and improve their employability.”

Dr Aloknath De, Sr Vice-President & CTO, Samsung R&D Institute, said: “Samsung is happy to partner with TASK to create an inclusive environment to help young India leverage the growing digital technologies market and also reskill the mid-level or retired professionals.”
