Hyderabad: Anil Reddy Vennum has been elected as vice-president (south) of All India Plastics Manufacturers’ Association (AIPMA). Reddy is a city-based industrialist and former president of the Federation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTAPCCI). Reddy on Friday assumed charge as V-P at the 70-year-old apex body of the plastic industry in Mumbai. He served as managing committee member of AIPMA.
90 percent of membership of AIPMA is from MSME sector. My goal as vice-president is to work with state governments in all south states for the development of plastics industry
Reddy said: “90 percent of membership of AIPMA is from MSME sector. My goal as vice-president is to work with state governments in south for the development of plastics industry. As I am exposed to international markets, I will help the plastics industry export more so that India and five southern states can benefit.
We will work for development of Plastic Parks in all the southern states. I will also work towards green environment. It’ll be my endeavor as a vice-president to resolve the problems pertaining to waste management. We’ll work with municipalities on solid waste handling.”
Reddy is an engineer in mining from Osmania University and technical director at Nayastrap Pvt Ltd. He was the president of FTAPCCI during 2015-16. and associated with it for will over 2 decades. He was Advisory Committee member of many bodies and government organizations.
He is a Guest Lecturer for Entrepreneur Development Programme at Osmania University & JNTU and many Private Engineering Institutions.With over 2,500 members directly, AIPMA has 22,000 members through its affiliated associations across the country.
