Dr Reddy’s Laboratories (DRL) has received an establishment inspection report (EIR) from the US FDA for its Srikakulam formulations facility in Andhra Pradesh. 

Hyderabad: Dr Reddy’s Laboratories (DRL) has received an establishment inspection report (EIR) from the US FDA for its Srikakulam formulations facility in Andhra Pradesh.

“With regard to the audit of the company’s formulation Srikakulam Plant (SEZ) Unit I, Andhra Pradesh, the company has received an EIR from the US health regulator, for the above-referred facility,” Dr Reddy’s informed BSE in a communique.

The US FDA issues an EIR to the establishment that is the subject of an FDA or FDA-contracted inspection when the agency decides to close the inspection. In last June, the US health regulator had issued one observation after the inspection of the unit. Dr Reddy’s, however, did not disclose details about the observation.

Shares of Dr Reddy’s Laboratories closed higher by Rs60.35 or 2.62 percent at Rs2,367.85 on BSE. The stock on NSE gained three per cent and closed at Rs 2,375.40.
