BSNL unveils festive offer of 50% extra talk time

Hyderabad: In commemoration with 18th Formation Day celebrations, state-run telecom major Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has announced new offers to its customers.

Under Diwali’s Laxmi offer, BSNL provides 50 per cent talk time on top-up denominations of Rs290, Rs390 and Rs590 for six days from October 16 onwards. Full talk time offer on Rs110 top-up is available for 30 days from October 10. A top official at BSNL said that it’ll have installation of equipment at 550 sites in Telangana and 600 sites in AP.

“BSNL has already completed tender formalities for 4G roll out. We’ll unveil Volte and 4G data implementation at Wyra and Jadcharla before March 2018 on pilot basis. Subsequently, BSNL will have 4G services in entire Telangana and AP,” L Anantharam, CGM, BSNL, told the media here on Friday.

BSNL is also in the process of setting up 118 rural Wi-Fi exchanges in both the Telugu states and these’re expected to become operational by March 2018. The telecom major is also strengthening mobile signals in the twin cities and for this, it’s procuring new GSM equipment under Phase 8. It’ll set up 400 new sites from April 2018.

Elaborating on Limited Fixed Mobile Telephone (LFMT), Anantharam said: It facilitates our broadband customers with a wi-fi connection to connect with the mobile telephone directory. So that our subscribers can use all the services like a cordless phone.”
