Hyderabad: In a bid to take millet revolution across the country, Karnataka state has asked all the states to take part in spreading millet revolution across the country. Organic and Millet’ initiative will provide healthy diet, said Karnataka Agriculture Minister Krishna Byre Gowda, who inaugurated a roadshow here on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, minister Gowda said: “This fair is a platform that’ll bring farmers, marketers and consumers under one roof. We are proud to say that Karnataka is the first state to take the ‘Organic and Millet’ message with this unique initiative to the rest of the country. However, for this mission to be truly successful, we need the support of our neighbouring states.”

The Minister emphasised that the message to be conveyed is simple. “We have to reacquaint ourselves with millets. Incorporating this crop in our diet is the panacea for most of the health problems that we face today. Karnataka has been on a relentless mission,” he said.
