Hyderabad: NMDC has been improving safety standards in its mines as the public-sector major aims at achieving zero-harm incidents in mining operations. NMDC organized its 28th corporate level tripartite safety committee meeting of Kirandul, Bacheli, Donimalai and Panna Mines in Hyderabad recently.

Addressing the meeting, N Baijendra Kumar, CMD, NMDC, said: “NMDC has been enhancing safety standards at its mines and would further improve in order to reach the highest level of safety standards to attain zero abrasion.

Safety standards in every sphere of mining will be improved through continuous monitoring so as to become the safest eco-friendly miner of the Nation.” All the functional directors, officials from Directorate General of Mines Safety of western & southern zone, staff and representatives of unions participated in the meeting.
