Hyderabad: TiE Inc (The Indus Entrepreneurs) will have an exclusive chapter for Amaravati. The Board of Trustees at TiE Inc, the world’s largest network of entrepreneurs with over 13,000 members worldwide, approved the formation of TiE Amaravati chapter.

Sateesh Andra, Managing Director, Endiya Partners, Suresh Rayudu Chitturi, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, Srinivasa Hatcheries, and Purnima Kamble, Partner, Fox Mandal and Associates, along with other board members, have announced that TiE Inc’s board approved the proposal for setting up a chapter in Amaravati.

Founding members of TiE Amaravati includes Srini Raju, Co-founder Peepul Capital and Chairman SriCity, JA Chowdary, IT Advisor to AP govt, Ramesh Byrapaneni, MD, Endiya Partners, Sridhar Krishnamoorthy, MD, Gerdau Steel, along with Suresh Chitturi, Sateesh Andra and Purnima Kamble. Murali Bukkapatnam, Chairman, Volksy Technologies, shall be the chapter champion from TiE Global Board of Trustees, according to a release.

Revealing the objective behind TiE Amaravati formation, Suresh Rayudu Chitturi said: “An organization like TiE is the need of the hour to foster entrepreneurship in the new state of Andhra Pradesh. A large number of successful entrepreneurs/ operating executives are keen and dedicated to the virtuous cycle of wealth creation and giving back to the community. TiE Amaravati chapter is a perfect platform for contribution and realizing their goals.”

The TiE Amaravati chapter will enroll about 30 charter members and several hundred associate and student members in the first year. The Amaravati Chapter is optimistic its membership strength will grow rapidly in the region. Anudeep Chappa, an alumnus of DAIICT and IIM Lucknow, has assumed a full-time role at the TiE Amaravati secretariat. Sateesh Andra said that with the support of the AP government and industry, TiE chapter will play a crucial role in focusing on creating and nurturing our next generation of entrepreneurs.

While announcing the formation of Andhra Angels, which will become active soon, Andra said: “Our immediate focus will be Fintech, IT/ITES, pharma/ life sciences, manufacturing, agriculture and food processing sectors. TiE Amaravati will also work closely with educational institutions to introduce entrepreneurship based courses in the curriculum, assist in setting up E-cells and incubators to inculcate the entrepreneurial aspirations in young minds.”

TiE Amaravati will focus on promoting women entrepreneurs as well. Purnima Kamble said “TiE Amaravati Chapter seeks to provide a catalytic environment to local women entrepreneurs in AP by focusing on giving a strong platform of networking, knowledge sharing and mentoring to women entrepreneurs.”
