Hyderabad: Heritage Foods Ltd, a leading dairy firm, has bagged ‘Golden Peacock’ award for excellence in corporate governance for 2017. The awards jury under the Chairmanship of Justice Dr Arijit Pasayat, former Judge, Supreme Court of India, announced the winners of Golden Peacock in different segments. Heritage Foods has received this prestigious award is for the second time.

Nara Bhuvaneswari, vice-chairperson and managing director, Heritage Foods, received the award at ‘Golden Peacock Awards Presentation Ceremony,’ held in London on Wednesday. Several business leaders and captains of the industry took part in the ceremony.

After receiving the award, Nara Bhuvaneswari said: “It’s a proud moment for the Heritage family to receive this award again. This award is an acknowledgment of our sheer hard work and dedication put forth by each member of Heritage family towards transparent and ethical practices while dealing with all stakeholders like farmers, employees and our consumers.”

Golden Peacock Awards, was instituted by The Institute of Directors (IOD), India in 1991, are now regarded as a benchmark of corporate excellence worldwide. Golden Peacock awards for corporate leadership and institutional excellence, over the time, have become a hallmark of excellence, both locally and globally.

Bhuvaneswari further added that “it shows our leadership in building a professionally managed and independent organization with excellence in corporate leadership and empowerment of farmers, who are the backbone of our organization.”
