Hyderabad: With reference to the recent reports in the media, regarding SBI ATMs, SBI has clarified that it has not closed any ATM in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

“We wish to clarify on the correct data of SBI ATMs in Telangana. SBI has not closed any ATMs in the state of Telangana after the merger of SBH,” SBI said in a release.

After bifurcation of the circles into Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, about 1,300 ATMs of our associate banks located in Telangana are wrongly reflected in Andhra Pradesh data.

“The correct status of SBI ATMs (SBI and associate banks) in Telangana as on March 31, 2017, are 2,922 and the number has gone up to 2,964 as on June 30, 2017. We have taken up with RBI for needful correction,” said the banking major in the release.
