Teekli Village, Gurugram gets Community Water Treatment System, Crematorium and Mobile Medicare Unit
Haryana PWD Minister Shri Rao Narbir Singh inaugurated Community Water Treatment System. He also took a tour of the newly constructed village crematorium and the other village infrastructure projects being developed under the Model Village Project of DLF Foundation.

Gurugram: Haryana PWD Minister Shri Rao Narbir Singh inaugurated Community Water Treatment System. He also took a tour of the newly constructed village crematorium and the other village infrastructure projects being developed under the Model Village Project of DLF Foundation.
Shri Rao Narbir Singh said: “I appreciate these noble initiatives of DLF Foundation. Since most of the diseases are caused by contaminated water, Community Water Treatment System will go a long way in minimizing the incidence of waterborne diseases.”
He further said that a community centre will be constructed very soon in the village and that the present government of Haryana is working relentlessly to bring about development in Gurugram.
The Community Water Treatment System installed by DLF Foundation aims to provide safe and clean drinking water for human and animal consumption. Consisting of UF -4500 LPH, the system will provide containerized drinking water purification. The water purification plant fixed inside a container is custom built and imported from China while rests of the accessories have been sourced locally.
The establishment of the crematorium is another initiative of DLF Foundation undertaken at the request of village panchayat. The construction of a water tank, landscaping and PCC Flooring of the waiting area have also been undertaken.
A Primary Medicare Unit set up by the DLF Foundation to provide medical consultancy and free medicines has also been inaugurated in Teekli. As part of this initiative, DLF Foundation has provided a mobile medical van to provide support to the Doctors and the medical team to move around the village and provide medical consultancy services.

The Model Village Project of DLF Foundation aims at holistic development of villages through multi-stakeholder engagement and sustainable outcomes,” said Dr. Vinay Sahni, CEO, DLF Foundation.
“We are grateful to DLF Foundation for undertaking these commendable initiatives. Teekli has been lagging behind on several parameters but the situation is set to change now with the support of DLF Foundation,” said Raveena Devi, village sarpanch.
Through the Model Village Project, DLF Foundation proposes to set a benchmark for social and economic development model in rural locations of Gurgaon. The aim of the project is to improve the overall development indicators of the Tikli village so as to uplift the overall quality of life of the community. DLF Foundation has evolved its own set of parameters which are based on detailed assessment and review of government programmes for creating a Model Village. The project has incorporated several initiatives incorporating education, livelihood, healthcare, skill development, waste management and village leadership development.
