NYSE-listed NCR Corporation, a leading maker ATM machines and payment solutions provider, on Tuesday opened new premises for its research and development (R&D) centre at Mindspace IT Park in the city.

Hyderabad: NYSE-listed NCR Corporation, a leading maker ATM machines and payment solutions provider, on Tuesday opened new premises for its research and development (R&D) centre at Mindspace IT Park in the city.

Spread over 1.4 lakh sft, the facility is now NCR’s largest R&D centre outside its home country, the US. The new centre which can accommodate 1,200 employees, is expected to help NCR extend its leadership in omni-channel solutions.

The centre will focus on creating innovative products and platforms for channel transformation and digital enablement. “The new centre will focus on the development of innovative technologies to assist our customers across the industries NCR serves, and the incredible talent we have available in the region will enable us to do so,” Paul Langenbahn, Executive Vice President, NCR Software, told the media.

He was in the city along with Eli Rosner, company’s global CTO, to inaugurate the new facility on Tuesday. Ashok Nallam, Director R&D Centre, NCR India, was also present.

“The centre has been responsible for a host of innovations including the Interactive Teller ATM, EMV contactless ATM, mobile payments solutions, retail self-checkout lanes, CRM platforms, cinema and stadium systems management solutions, among many others,” said Rosner.
