Hyderabad: Chakravarthi AVPS, a city-based packaging professional, has been appointed as Ambassador of World Packaging Organization (WPO). This appointment took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at the 99th board meeting of WPO. He is the first Asian to get this honour. The recognition is bestowed on him for his contribution to the Indian and global packaging industry for over 30years.
Chakrvarthi, currently in Brazil will reach the city on Monday, according to a release. Speaking from Brazil immediately after the announcement, Chakravarthi said: “There’s no culture on earth that can do without packaging.” AVPS Chakravarthi is the CEO and Managing Director of Hyderabad-based Ecobliss India.
