Asia Inc.500 hosts summit on quality in Hyd

Hyderabad: Asia Inc. 500, the digital platform for thought leaders in India, hosted its first Indian edition of the World Quality Summit, in the city on Friday. The summit witnessed online participation by over 3,000 quality assurance professionals, senior vice-presidents of technology companies, senior QA experts and thought leaders from 19 countries across the globe. 

The global market size of the software testing industry is $2.2 trillion, while India has a share of $800 million in 2017-18, growing at 18 per cent y-o-y.The top contributing segment of technology in the IT industry is the software testing wherein Hyderabad is considered as the ‘Mecca’ for software testing, said a representative of Asia Inc. 500. 

Speaking at the summit, Raghavendra Hunasgi, global convener, Asia Inc. 500 said, “while the World Quality Summit was considered to be held in India, the first option of city that crossed our minds was Bengaluru. But, post our research, we realised that Hyderabad hosts the majority of software testing professionals thus bringing the first Indian edition to this city.”
