I would rather make small films with good content than earn crores doing a film with a star hero.

Movie Moghul and veteran producer D Ramanaidu, who has a rich legacy of producing cult films like ‘Ramudu Bheemudu’, ‘Prema Nagar’ ‘Ahana Pellanta’ under his Suresh Productions banner said that the production house’s small budget flick ‘Nenem Chinna Pillana’ will release on November 8. The movie stars Rahul Ravindran of ‘Andhala Rakshasi’ fame in the lead role.

He appreciated director Sunil Kumar Reddy’s efforts to shape it into a wholesome family entertainer with comedy in the first half and sentiment in the latter. “A surprise twist in the second half will bring in the suspense element to the audience. Music by MM Sri Lekha which was released recently has got a good response. Aamani’s character will be special attraction,” he says highlighting the strong points of the movie.

Rahul Ravindran is paired opposite debutante Tanvi Vyas in this movie. Tanvi would be the 12th heroine to be launched by Suresh Productions. Senior actors Sharath Babu and Suman are essaying key characters in this flick.

The producer whose Punjabi flick ‘Singh vs Kaur’ got a good response is planning to remake it in Telugu with his grandson Naga Chaitanya in the lead. The movie will be launched in December. The Akkineni family has recently embarked on a multi-starrer. What about his family? He says “My only ambition is to do a multi-starrer with my family. I have expressed the same to Venkatesh and Rana. Both are very keen. I just hope we do it very soon”.

Does the Movie Moghul have any big plans for November 13 as his production house Suresh Productions completes 50 years? He says, “I am happy that it has completed 50 succesful years. All the family members will have a get-together for the big day”. About his next production ventures, the Padma Vibushan says, “I am happy and contented doing small films. I am not keen in earning crores doing a film with a star hero. The subject holds the key and if I find it good enough, I am ready to produce it”. About his actor son Venkatesh doing multi-starrers, he says, “With SVSC getting such good success and ‘Masala’ to release shortly, the craze for multi-starrers is growing and it’s a healthy trend,” he opined.
