Sudheer Babu: Want to act in a film on Gopichand

‘SMS’ boy Sudheer says that while he is excited about flaunting his six packs in ‘Aadu Magaadra Bujji,’ he wants to act in a movie based on the sport he had played before he debuted into movies

Having made a quiet start with ‘SMS’ and after receiving accolades from everyone for his performance in ‘Prema Katha Chitram,’ Sudheer Babu is all charged up about his latest film ‘Aadu Magaadra Bujji’ which will release on Friday. The actor is quite confident and upbeat about his movie.

Speaking about the movie, he says, “The movie will be a comedy and an action entertainer. After doing ‘SMS’ and ‘Prema Katha Chitram,’ this is the kind of movie I was looking forward to. Director Gangadasu presented it just the way he narrated the script”. On his co-star Asmita Sood, he says, “Initially we were to work together for ‘SMS’, but we could not as she was busy. I am glad she is part of this film and she did a wonderful job”.

While Sudheer impressed everyone with his dancing skills in his last film, he would be flaunting his six pack body with this film. “I was always a fitness freak even before I entered films, and this film gave me the opportunity to showcase it. ‘Prema Katha Chitram’ did not require to flaunt my muscles, but this movie had certainly few sequences where I could perform”, he explains.

Speaking about the other highlights of the film, he says, “Ajay plays Bujji, a wannabe politician and he has done well. I am also lucky to have worked with Naresh whose performance will be a treat to watch”.

The former badminton player, who has earlier played alongside Pullela Gopichand, wants to act in a film about the sport and Gopichand. “I know him personally and I know the struggles he overcame to become what he is today, and having played the sport, it certainly helps”.

Ask him about doing a multi-starrer with Superstar Krishna and Mahesh Babu, he says,” I would definitely love to do it if we get the right script”. The actor is also willing to work with other stars too. “Doing a multi-starrer is challenging as you have to prove among other top stars. If I get a good role, I will do it”, he reveals. Speaking about Mahesh Babu, he says, “I liked Mahesh in ‘Khaleja’. Though the movie did not do as well as anticipated, I thought he looked different compared to other films. “Although he had a phase where ‘Bobby’ and a spate of other films didn’t work, he worked on his mistakes and now chooses scripts which suit him and so he is successful,” he adds.

Malligadu’ but he has pinned his hopes on ‘Aadu Magaadra Bujji’. “I am confident about the output of the film and very sure that this will bring me to work with top directors”, he signs off.
