For all you fans of both Victory Venkatesh and Power star Pawan Kalyan, here is some good news for you. In fact great news! Seen on multiple times sharing the podiums of film events in the past, the good friends, who were to feature as brothers in ‘Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’, will finally be coming together for the remake of Bollywood super hit ‘Oh My God!’ Based on a Gujarati stage-play entitled Kanji Virudh Kanji, the Rs 15 crore satire which has won many accolades, narrates the story of an atheist (played by Paresh Rawal) who struggles to deal with an insurance case and fights it till the end with the help of Lord Krishna (played by Akshay Kumar).

Points out a source close to the development, “Though both Venky and Pawan they don’t meet often, they go a long way and share great respect among themselves. Venky initially wanted to do the role of Lord Krishna from the original but since things didn’t go according to plan, he had a change of heart and decided to do essay the role of Paresh Rawal. Venky’s brother Suresh Babu even thought of casting Tamil superstar Vikram in the role of Krishna but the attempt failed to yield desired results.”

Adds the source, “Finally, Venky approached Pawan Kalyan who has more than happy to be a part of the project. It is a character that is appropriate for Pawan’s body language. The shooting would commence shortly. It would be a joint production between Suresh Babu and Sharath Marar, friend of Pawan Kalyan. Either Jayanth C Paranjee or Dolly of ‘Tadakha’ fame are expected to call the shots.”

When Hans Talkies contacted Suresh Babu, he confirmed the happening. He said, “Yes, we are doing the film.” More details of this interesting combination are awaited.
