While the status of Mithun Chakraborty’s first Telugu project under the direction of Satya Prabhas, son of veteran director Raviraja Pinisetty, is still unclear, the 63-year-old multiple National award winning actor is set to foray into Tollywood with the remake of ‘Oh My God!’ (OMG), going by a source close to the project. He will be rubbing shoulders with Superstar Venkatesh in the flick, which will go on floors from May 19 in Hyderabad. Interestingly, the ‘Disco Dancer’ has essayed the role of shrewd God men Leeladhar Swamy in the original and in all likelihood he is expected to repeat the same avatar in the Telugu remake, which also stars Pawan Kalyan, who will play Lord Krishna.

The veteran actor will be the latest Bollywood addition to Tollywood, which has seen acclaimed Hindi actor Boman Irani making his Telugu screen debut last year with ‘Attarintiki Daaredhi’. Currently in pre-production, ‘OMG’ Telugu remake will be wrapped up in four schedules. While Hyderabad will be home for the first three schedules, the last one, which will commence in mid-August, will take place in the holy city of Varanasi. To be helmed by Kishore Pardasani (Dolly) of ‘Tadakha’ fame, the film is a joint venture between ace producer Suresh Babu and Pawan Kalyan’s manager-friend Sharat Marar. The makers are planning to release the film on October 2.
