While Surveen has a considerably longer resume to flaunt her big screen experience (she has worked in quite a few Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu movies). Jay is not a new bee to showbiz either, having seen a successful innings in television. This confidence has helped Jay to easily make the transition to the bid screen.

“I have worked in many serials and have also hosted a few reality shows. For me it wasn’t tough. In fact, if something is difficult, it is promotion of the film. It keeps you constantly on your toes and you hardly catch sleep,” he says with a broad smile on his face.

Surveen who is set to scorch the screen with a steamy and sensuous performance in the movie says that the film was a great experience considering she hasn’t done anything like this before. “The film is a high voltage drama that has everything that one would want in the form of entertainment from love to anger to passion to vengeance. I wouldn’t say that my character is bold because portraying a sexually abused woman can be presented in no other way. This role has helped me understand how difficult it is for the victims,” she elaborates.

Surveen has so far worked in one Tollywood movie ‘Raju Maharaju’. But the debacle of the movie literally ended her brief stint in the industry, which left her disappointed.

“I hope after this movie, I will get a chance to make a comeback in the industry,” she said. Both Surveen and Jay are excited that the film’s music is receiving rave reviews from every corner. The song ‘Aaj phir tum pe pyaar ayaa hai’ has become a rage online. Surveen shares that a lot went into the making of the song, which is revamped from the 1987 film ‘Dayavan’.

“Made on the diva of the era, Madhuri Dixit, I won’t lie if I say there wasn’t pressure. But there was also excitement that we would be reliving the song. There was no attempt to match up to the original. But we wanted to make sure we didn’t screw it up,” she elucidates.

Jai agrees and adds, “I never thought I would be involved in recreating a song in which the legendary Madhuri Dixit and Vinod Khanna were a part of. Arijit and Samira have sung it wonderfully. I am glad there is a good response from the people for our chemistry in the song.”
