Raj Tarun on cloud nine

Actor Raj Tarun, who is basking in the success of ‘Cinema Choopista Maava’, considers Ravi Teja as his inspiration. The veteran actor recently compared Raj Tarun’s performance in ‘Cinema Choopista Maava’ to his outing in ‘Idiot’. “Coming from him, it is a compliment to cherish.

He even lauded my performance in ‘Uyyala Jampala’. He is an inspiration to me as he has made it big in the industry on his own,” said Tarun at a promotional event of his latest film in Hyderabad recently. Back home (Visakhapatnam), the reactions (to the film) have been overwhelming, he said.

“My friends erected my cut outs at some single screens. They are my strength,” he laughed. “My parents watched the film five times till now and my dad reeled my dialogues (from the film) on phone.” The actor said he had his own apprehensions on director Trinadha Rao’s credentials.

“Since he made a love story (Mem Vayasuku Vachcham) earlier, I doubted whether he has in it to film a mass subject but on the first day of the shoot itself, I realised that he was game for it,” said Tarun who is shooting for two flicks—‘Kumari 21F’ with Sukumar and an yet-untitled flick with friend Sreenivas-- currently.
