Padmashree for Kader Khan?

Kader Khan is known for his comic timing and also as a script writer. Govinda and Kader Khan together rocked on the celluloid setting the silver screen ablaze with their screen presence in their films.

But with their electrifying witty dialogues in the eighties and the nineties, they brought in a million dollar laughter for the cine-goers. Kader’s passion for films is so strong that the ailing Kader Khan decided to be present for the promotions of his latest flick, "Ho gaya Dimaagh Ka Dahi”.

Present on the occasion Om Puri, Razzak, Rumy Jaffrey [writer/director] and producer Fauzia Arshi, raised their voice and said, "Indeed the veteran actor/writer Kader Khan has been very active in the field of cinema from his youth-hood. He has dedicated his life for his passion –Cinema and has made people laugh every time with his screen presence always. We all are of the opinion that he deserves to be bestowed upon the “Padmashree Award” for his services rendered to make people laugh and forget the miseries that they undergo during the course of their lives. We request the Government of India to give one thought to this earnest request of ours. Kader Sahab ko Padma Shri se nawaza jana chahiye.”

Time will tell whether the voice of these actors reaches its destiny and Kader Khan is bestowed upon the prestigious Award - "Padmashree”.
