DileepWhen director Teja announced that he will be selecting his lead actor for ‘Hora Hori’ through auditions, Dileep was aware that he could stand a chance as he was confident about the skills that he acquired from Vizag’s Satyanand Insitute.

After impressing the filmmaker, he was signed on for the project straightaway. “I believe that practice makes a man perfect. Though I got trained in acting before making my debut, it was with ‘Hora Hori’ that I realised what the craft is all about. I am happy with what I brought to the film.”

When asked whether he always wanted to get into films, he said, “As a kid I was always an active participant in the extra- curricular activities at the school. The passion to work in films started then.”

Asked about the working experience with Teja, he said, “I feel fortunate to have got an opportunity to work with such a reputed director. He is more like a teacher at school. You always have something to learn from him daily. Not just acting, he even taught me how to go about my life.”

Though the promotions of ‘Hora Hori’ started very recently, Dileep, who describes the film as a sensitive romantic tale, is happy that people are identifying him. “I can’t help but hide my emotions when people are recognising me as an actor. I’m an actor now because of my parents; they believed in me and always extended their support,” said Dileep.

Like is the case with Teja’s debutants, Dileep too is flooded with offers. “I’ve been narrated four-five scripts till now but I’ll decide about my next step only after discussing it with Teja sir,” concluded Dileep who considers Rajinikanth and Chiranjeevi as his idols.
