City-based music composer and singer, Sajida Khan bagged the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award recently. Sajida, who showed singing talents from school going days, blossomed into a multi-skilled professional and ventured into roles like sound engineer, dubbing engineer, producer and composer.

Sajida, who showed singing talents from school going days, blossomed into a multi-skilled professional and ventured into roles like sound engineer, dubbing engineer, producer and composer.

A career, which started as a recording engineer at Geetanjali Studios, laid her foundation and paved way into the field of sound and audio engineering.

Given the scope in this field and being one of the few female audio engineers in the industry, her passion towards music hit the next level when she enrolled for formal education in music to pursue her interest in one of the best international schools in music.

A ‘Grade III Solo Pianist’ and ‘Grade IV Theorist’ from Trinity Guidhall University, London, she has had a sting of ten years in music in which she kept adding laurels to her career.

Apart from working in the Sound/Audio department she has lent her voice for South Indian movies. All in all, Sajida has proved her mettle in the various facets of the sound/audio industry.
