While superstar Ravi Teja-starrer ‘Bengal Tiger’ has almost come to an end, the fate of his next with Venu Sreeram of ‘Oh My Friend’ fame still hangs in balance. According to reliable sources, the project has hit a roadblock for now, following differences over the actor’s pay packet.

“Ravi Teja is demanding Rs 8 crore for the film while producer Dil Raju wants him to budge a bit. As of now there is no consensus,” said a source close to the development.

The source further added that Dil Raju is not in a mood to pay the actor his full remuneration especially after his recent release ‘Kick 2’ sank without a trace at the turnstile. “What Raju is demanding is appropriate but Ravi and Co is not in a mood to relent.

There were instances where some producers bunked Ravi’s full payment and it is the reason why he is particular about what he gets for the film,” the source insisted, adding that if the actor reduces his salary by at least Rs 50 lakh, Raju is likely bankroll the project. The one guy who is suffering the most amidst these developments, according to the source, is Venu Sreeram.

“He is ready with the script and is raring to translate it into visuals but is worried about what’s going around him. He had already spoken with actor Anupama Parameswaran and composer Devi Sri Prasad to be a part ofthe film.”
