His tantrums too were cited another reason. While it is another story that (some) producers are no longer working with him, Brahmi, it seems, has decided to give his image a makeover. According to sources close to him, the funny man, who was once criticised for not encouraging comedians around him, will be playing a Good Samaritan to artistes who are yet to get their due in the industry. “He will be adopting 200 junior artistes by paying them monthly money of Rs 1,500.

He will stop the gesture the day they (the artistes) become self-sufficient,” said a source close to Brahmi. On the career front, Brahmanandam is currently awaiting the release of big-ticket films like ‘Bruce Lee’ and ‘Akhil’, in which he played key characters.
