Back with a bang

Ajay Arya has returned to limelight after the much needed break with ‘Ek Tha Raja’, he has earlier done shows like ‘Kasturi’, ‘Geet’, ‘Navya’ and ‘Main Lakshmi Tere Angann Ki’. In a freewheeling chat he shares about his journey on the celluloid

Why did you take a break from TV?

I didn't break from television it's just that I was being offered roles that were not very exciting. This role in serial ‘Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani’ is very challenging. I didn't even give second thought at all and just grabbed it.

You and Dhrasti also worked together in ‘Geet’. How is your chemistry with her?

Drashti is an amazing co-star. Acting is all about reacting and when you have such good actors with you, half the job is done.

Why did you say yes to the role of Lakshya in the ongoing serial?

Well, Lakshya is just like an onion with loads of shades so it's great to essay this part. I am fortunate that the team chose me to be a part of this show.

Are you looking forward don a role on the silver screen?

It's every actor’s dream to see himself or herself on the big screen and I am part of that league. However, from TV I have earned lots of respect as an artiste so I am very happy about it. Rest I have left on god let's see what happens (Smiles).
