Director Srinu Vatila hit headlines for wrong reasons recently. His recent flick Bruce Lee featuring Ram Charan failed to recreate the Dookudu magic at the box office. Worse was yet to come as his wife Rupa registered a case of dowry harassment against him.
Police registered a case against Sreenu Vaitla under section 498-A following the complaint. But a week later, Rupa filed a petition stating that she wanted to withdraw the case. Sources say some bigwigs settled the issue between the couple and convinced her to withdraw the case.
Two versions are doing the rounds in the film circles over who settled the issue. Some say it was veteran director Dasari Narayana Rao, while a few mention that Ram Charan, who mediated Kona Venkat and Srinu Vatila for Bruce Lee film, solved the issue.
Meanwhile, filmnagar is buzzing with talks of Srinu Vatila planning to sell his newly constructed house at Journalist’s Colony in Jubilee Hills as he thinks that the new house is not vaastu compliment.
