In tune with their long-established norms of being the Good Samaritans, Tollywood has once again risen to the occasion. Even as citizens of Chennai and neighbouring regions are bearing the brunt of an unprecedented rain-havoc, many actors have started rendering their bit to provide succor to the victims and their families.

Allu Arjun, Mahesh Babu & NTRActors ranging from Mahesh Babu, NTR, Kalyanram, Ravi Teja to Varun Tej have announced contributions to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

First of the noble gestures came Sampoornesh Babu who donated Rs 50,000 and was followed by NTR and Kalyanram donating Rs 10 lakh and 5 lakh respectively, Allu Arjun (Rs 25 lakh), Mahesh Babu (Rs 10 lakh), Varun Tej (Rs3 lakh), Ravi Teja (Rs 5 lakh) have chipped in to the Tamil Nadu CMRF

Moved by the scenes of devastation that being flashed across the national channels, Allu Arjun said, “It’s the city where I spent 18 years of my life. It made me what I am today. I must respond to their SOS.” Like always, there could be exhibition matches to raise funds for the victims.
