Sharwanand’s comic timing to the fore

The shooting of Sharwanand-starrer ‘Express Raja’ is over and the film is currently in the final leg of its post-production. The film’s director Merlapaka Gandhi hopes that it will push the envelope coming to comedy.

“It’s a screenplay-based road film which will present Sharwanand in a new light. We’ve seen his comic skills in his earlier film ‘Run Raja Run’ but in this film, it’ll be at a different level altogether,” insists Gandhi.

He accentuates that the film will be entertaining and high on comedy. “Sharwa plays the role of a free-spirited guy and the troubles and how a series of incidents transform his life construct the plot. I can label it as a quirky comedy. The film’s leading lady Surabhi too, who plays a pet lover, matched Sharwa in comic scenes,” he shares.

Gandhi exudes confidence that the tunes composed by Praveen Lakkaraju will hit the right notes. “He has come up with interesting music. We’re planning to unveil the audio soon and release the film early next year,” he signs off.
