Puri JagannadhThe makers of ‘Rogue’ seem to be entrapped in yet another volatile twist that they would have never dreamt of. The latest bolt from the blue comes in the all-important casting department that is dashing the hopes of director Puri Jagannadh.

Even as he was all geared up to cast Aisha Sharma, he is confronted with a situation whereby he would be without a lead actress. Ironically, the story of ‘Rogue’ revolves around a happy-go-lucky chap and how he wins his love. It was an offer that had Aisha going all over town expressing about the ‘challenge of being the lead actress’ and how she was prepared to prove a point or two.

However, in a surprising turn of events, the former model has walked out of the project due to unspecified reasons. Days after replacing Amyra Dastur, who was the original choice for the role, Hans Talkies has exclusively learnt that Aisha Sharma, who even shot for the film’s first schedule in Bangkok, backed out of the project, in which producer CR Manohar’s nephew Ishan is making his debut.

A source close to the unit says, “Aisha is no more a part of the film. She backed out after shooting for almost the entire first schedule. It is presumed that she had problems adjusting dates.”

The makers are now on the lookout for a replacement. Interestingly, Aisha also backed out of her earlier film ‘Shivam’, which was supposed to be her debut film. On that count, jinx stares at the face as her debut still hangs in the balance.
