Ola has joined hands with Telugu superstar Rana Daggubati’s “Mana Madras Kosam” campaign to aid flood victims in Chennai.

Through the collaboration, they collected about ten tonnes of relief material till date, such as non-perishable food supplies and clothes.

Speaking on the collaboration, Rana said, “Ola has played a commendable role in helping collect relief material for the people of Chennai who have suffered due to floods. They have shown that they really care for their customers and have set an example for others to follow.”

Pranay Jivrajka, COO at Ola said, “The recent spate of events in Chennai is unfortunate and we at Ola stand by the city and citizens. The spirit of the city and its people to go out of their way and help each other in these testing times was overwhelming. We are pulling in all our resources and capabilities together, to enable our users to be part of the relief and reconstruction efforts in the city. We earnestly hope that Chennai recovers quickly.”

Monetary contributions can be made through the Ola Money app, where users can recharge for any amount (up to a sum of Rs 1,00,000) till December 18. The funds collected will be handed over by the company to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
