Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol starrer Dilwale that released along with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani on Friday had an edge over the latter as it opened to better opening at the box office. Directed by Rohit Shetty, Dilwale brings back the iconic pair of Shah Rukh-Kajol in the commercial potboiler.
Opening to 70 per cent occupancy at the theatres, Dilwale opening day collection is reportedly around Rs 21-22 crore. Despite two big movies releasing on the same day, audiences have thronged to the theatres giving 100 percent occupancy to both the movies in Mumbai. Dilwale also starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon is likely to witness the collections increase during the weekend.
