This news will surely surprise many! Filmmaker K Raghavendra Rao (KRR) has turned down an acting offer recently. The veteran director, when approached for an important role in Dil Raju’s work-in-progress forthcoming venture, said no.

Apparently writer Satish Vegesna, who would be making his next film ‘Sathamanam Bhavathi’, starring Raj Tarun, wanted to have Raghavendra Rao on board in the role of hero’s grandfather. He was so keen to cast the hit maker in the family drama that he called him up for a detailed narration.

But surprisingly KRR turned down the proposal. Sources reveal that he wasn’t kicked about his character and so, politely declined it. Dejected, the director, according to a source, is looking for an alternative.

“Vegesna thought he would convince KRR but the latter felt the part wasn’t significant for a personality of his stature. He didn’t think twice before rejecting it,” added the source.

Well, guess we need to wait for some more time to see KRR, who is known to be a tough taskmaster when it comes to extracting what he wants from his actors, on celluloid! Significant role is what he needs to make his acting debut. Directors listening?
