The Cow , the second feature by Mohamed Hamidi with Jamel Debbouze, won Grand Prix of the 19th International Festival of comedy film of Alpe d’Huez .
In the new bovine comedy One Man and his Cow – simply titled La Vache in French – a small Algerian farmer’s dream comes true when his prize heifer is invited to present his cow Jacqueline at the annual Paris Farming Show. He thus sets out on a long journey by boat, and then by foot, crossing France with his cow in tow and meeting all sorts of characters along the way, while learning some important life lessons in the process.
The comedy was particularly pleased the jury SINCE she also won the Audience Award and Best Actress Award, awarded to Fatsah Bouyahmed, the flagship performer .
