I was in love: Nikesha Patel

Nikesha Patel might come across as a tough cop bashing the goons in her forthcoming Telugu film ‘Araku Raod lo’, but away from the arc lights, the diva says she is very romantic.

“I doubt you will not find anyone more romantic than me (laughs); I’m a sucker for romance. My on-screen roles might look contrasting but that’s the beauty of cinema; you will get the opportunity to reprise various roles and experience each life,” she explains.

So did Nikesha ever fall in love? “Yes, I did fall once,” she confides. And who is he? “Well, I can’t reveal his identity since I like to respect his privacy. Also, the episode happened four years back and it didn’t work out. All I can tell you is that he was not into films but was still in the spotlight,” chortles the former Brit model.

But how did she deal with the breakup? “Any breakup is disheartening and it indeed turned out to be a difficult phase to deal with. But I was able to draw energy and motivation from my mother. She is my bestie and was there for me all the time and stood like a pillar of strength. But all the experience helped and made me a stronger person,” says Nikesha.
