All set to do some masti

Urvashi Rautela, the title holder of many beauty pageants made her debut in tinsel town with the 2013 Sunny Deol - starrer ‘Singh Saab – The Great’. The model-turned-actor shot to fame with her special appearance in the song "Daddy Mummy" in the film ‘Bhaag Johnny’.

Urvashi will be seen in a plum role in the upcoming comedy film ‘Great Grand Masti’ along with Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani. Speaking about her role, she says, “My character name is Ragini. It is a very special and challenging role. I’m playing the girlfriend of three guys in the movie.

The film is unlike ‘Grand Masti’. My character is more inspired by what Ajay Devgn did in the first part and is peppered with all types of shades - cute, romantic, and what not?”

Talking about the biggest challenge about taking on this kind of role, Urvashi says, “To sign this type of project where comedy is involved was a huge challenge itself. I wasn’t sure to green-lit the film to begin with but director Indra Kumar made certain alternations to my role as he really wanted me to be a part of the film. I’m blessed because he changed the script keeping in mind my comfort levels.

“The actors are superb. Ritesh Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivadasini are simply amazing. They are groomed so well. It’s was a treat to work with all three of them.”

Urvashi says that she shot ‘Great Grand Masti’ and ‘Sanam Re’ simultaneously and she had to juggle between the two sets.

“I used to shoot from 6 am to 1 pm for ‘Sanam Re’ and from 2 pm to 12 midnight for ‘Great Grand Masti’. It was exhausting. But I have no complaints. I really enjoyed every second of ‘Great Grand Masti’. My role is to die for and will help me to cement myself as an actress,” Urvashi signs off.
