Although her stint as the lead actress in several films in South did not bring her much acclaim, Richa Panai achieved it in her maiden film in Bollywood ‘Traffic’. Her role as a homemaker has got rave reviews and the thriller, which was released on Friday opened to positive response at the box office. “I have done around eight films in South but haven’t tasted success but I’m relieved and extremely happy that I finally got my due.

It's a big team and I’m lucky to be part of this remake. Although my character was brief, it’s important for me that I was part of a successful team. I’ve learnt a lot working with Manoj Bajpayee, Prosenjit Chaterjee and Jimmy Shergill. I could not have asked for a better launch pad in Bollywood. The feedback from the film fraternity has been stupendous,” she exults.

Richa, who is working on two projects in Kananda and Telugu, is also in talks with a couple of filmmakers in Hindi. “I’m in talks for a few projects and they are still in the nascent stage. I cant talk about it now,” says the actress. The former model will be next seen opposite Sunil in the Telugu film ‘Eedu Gold Ehe’, in which she plays a super model.
