Scholar KS Mangalagouri authored the book which was unveiled by actor-writer Taniekella Bharani at a ceremony in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

‘Jyothi Lakshmi’s cast and crew Charmme Kaur, Satya, Ajay Ghosh and Sunil Kashyap among others graced the launch Speaking after the launch, Mangalagouri said the film blew her way, prompting her to pen a book. “I took a strong liking to the climax, especially. I’ve wrote the book in flat three days. ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’ is the modern day ‘Kanyasulakam’,” she said.

Charmme said the film took a form because of a book and has ended with another book. “I remember the way Mangalagouri spoke about the film after watching the premiere show. She was full of excitement. She even reeled every dialogue to me.

I wasn’t aware of her credentials at that time. I’m proud that she has come up with a book on the film,” she said. Puri Jagannadh couldn’t make it to the gathering as he was in Bangkok scripting his next. However, his son Aaaksh compensated for his absence.
