Actor Vishal believes that his next release, ‘Rayudu’ (dubbed version of Tamil film ‘Marudhu’), has all the trappings of a commercial entertainer with loads of action, emotion and comedy. He points out that the director Muthiah has narrated his first two films ‘Kutti Puli’ and ‘Konban’ to him first but he couldn’t feature in them at that point of time. “It was a conscious decision to team up with him this time around.

The film unfolds as an emotional drama between a grandmother and his grandson. Muthaih has also incorporated some of his real life incidents into the film. I’m betting big on the climax action block,” Vishal said in Hyderabad on Thursday.

He also promised that a Telugu film is on the cards. “My director has been waiting for the past 18 months but I have to finish my prior commitments. I know it has been late."

Vishal, who stepped into the industry to become a director, says he will go behind the camera one day for sure. “Barring direction, I’ve done everything… acting, production, owning a music label and fighting Nadigar Sangam elections,” he chuckled and added that since he is being offered good roles, he is not contemplating about donning the director’s cap. “If I have to direct I need to switch off from everything and concentrate on the project for one year.”

Who would he first approach for his directorial debut? “Vijay, of course,” he declared. Does he have any scripts with him? “I keep writing whenever I come across good ideas and save them. I can revisit them when I plan to direct. I’ve recently wrote something for Shruti Haasan.”
