Nannaku Prematho writer to direct Naga Shaurya

While we were the first to tell you that Naga Shaurya’s film in director Sukumar’s production and hasn’t been shelved, here’s another interesting scoup. While the production house is tight-lipped about who would helm the project, we reliably learnt that Hussain Sha Kiran has been roped in to direct the romantic drama.

Hussain earlier directed ‘Meeku Meere Maaku Meme’ and was also credited for the penning the original story of NTR-starrer ‘Nannaku Prematho’. The filmmaker has been constantly working with Sukumar for the past few months. Impressed with storyline, Sukumar has decided to produce the project under his home production Sukumar Writings.

A source close to the unit reveals, “Hussain was spotted making several visits to Sukumar’s production house for story sittings. The two has been spending considerable time to get the script right with their team of writers.

Sukumar recently has green lit the story with a few basic corrections regarding scenes and screenplay, and Hussain is in the process of implementing them.” Shaurya meanwhile is shooting for ‘Jo Achyutananda’, directed by Avasarala Srinivas, and shall wrap up the rom-com before taking up Hussain’s project.
