Nag prepping up to play Hathi Ram

Talk about method acting, perhaps no one knows better than Nagarjuna. Away from the arc lights for the past six months, the top shot, who would play Baba Hathi Ram in his next untitled film, a mythological drama based on the staunch devotee of Lord Sri Venkateswara, has begun prepping up for the part.

Currently in US along with his wife Amala, he has already started growing beard and moustache for the part. He is also growing his hair and hasn’t gone for a hair cut of late, and is also expected to limit his public appearances.

A source in the know of the K Raghavendra Rao directorial confirms, “Nag has set his priorities and is preparing for the role in the best possible way. He is focused and wants to make the project a landmark one. To start off, he began working on his appearance.”

Look is not everything. The Southern supremo, who is on a roll with a hat-trick of hits, would also change his diet chart soon to suit the persona of Baba Hathi Ram. “Nag is generally a fitness freak and follows a strict diet.

But a comprehensive and a special diet plan would be designed in a fortnight for the role.”Given the way he transformed for his earlier films, it’s needless to say that it would be difficult to make out Nag once he achieves the desired look.
