We already told you that Classic Entertainment had bought the overseas distribution rights of Mahesh Babu's “Brahmotsavam” for a whopping Rs. 13.20 crore. They held premiere shows in the U.S., U.A.E. and a few other international markets on Thursday night. According to reports, the movie had paid preview shows in over 100 screens across US.

The latest we hear is that Brahmotsavam has managed to do some brisk business at the US box office so much so that it has beat the records of Mahesh’s earlier films Aagadu and Srimanthudu.

It's a known fact that the Tollywood superstar enjoys a great fan following in the foreign market. So we hear that the actor's latest outing has raked in good moolah at the preview shows abroad.

If a report on initial figures collated by trade analyst is anything to go by, then Brahmotsavam had collected $425,933 from 127 screens at the U.S. box office till 12:15 a.m. Box Office Telugu tweeted, “#Brahmotsavam $425,933 from 127 screens as of 12:15 am.”

The return on investment is expected to touch the $600,000 mark at the U.S. box office in the premiere shows. Box Office Updates tweeted, “According to Trends $600k is expected for #MaheshBabu’s #Brahmotsavam @ #USA BO- Rest depends on #Kingofoverseas.”

It's worth mentioning here that Mahesh's “Aagadu” had raked in a whopping $533K at the U.S. box office in the premiere shows, while “Srimanthudu, had collected $500K in paid preview. Going by the trend, Brahmotsavam is sure to beat the records set by both the films at the box office.
