Although Pawan Kalyan's Sardar Gabbar Singh didn't do as expected at the Indian Box office, the power star film raked in $616K at the U.S. box office in the preview shows and went on to become the biggest opener of 2016.

This was the second biggest opening Telugu film of all time after “Bahubali: the Beginning,” which grossed $1,010,550 from the premiere shows. If we go by the trends and the kind of mixed response Mahesh's film may not beat the record of power star Pawan Kalyan’s recent film.
