Ever since he made a comeback as a baddie with ‘Legend’ and followed it up with interesting roles, Jagapathi Babu (JB) is making a transition and has been experimenting with roles and industries beyond Tollywood. The actor will be seen as a CBI officer in his next Kannada film ‘Jaguar’, directed by Mahadev of ‘Mithrudu’ fame.

“I don’t want to be typecast by just playing only baddie and that’s the reason I’m experimenting with my roles. I was also offered a villain role in the same film and was asked to choose between the two, so I preferred to play a CBI officer.”

JB, who was last seen in ‘Bachchan’ alongside Sudeep in Kannada, is also working for another film ‘Vijayaditya’, directed by Nirbhay Chakravarthi. “I can’t reveal my role but it’s a period and fantasy drama. The director’s passion and the superb rushes of the film made me sign the project,” states JB.
