Abhishek Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh have been friends for a long time now, especially after they worked together for the first time in Bluffmaster (2005).

Taking his friendship with Riteish to the next level, Abhishek agreed to lend his voice to the teaser of Riteish’s forthcoming film, Banjo, produced by Eros International and directed by National award-winning filmmaker Ravi Jadhav.

To build up Riteish’s character in the teaser of Banjo, Abhishek has given a voiceover reciting a dialogue, ‘Yeh Banjo ki duniya ka Bachchan hai’.

Ravi says, “There couldn’t have been anyone better than Abhishek to do it. We recorded the portion within an hour. It was great fun.”

“Abhishek has a great voice and I am a huge fan of his work. He is mischievous in a fun way and down to earth as well. I was very comfortable working with him,” informs Ravi adding that Riteish learnt how to play Banjo for his character. “Both he and Nargis have worked extremely hard on the film and it shows. Abhishek loved the teaser too and immediately called Riteish from the recording studio to compliment him on his role and look.”

Producer Krishika Lulla says, “Banjo is a different musical film that needed a unique way to introduce the film to the audiences. Riteish and our team came up with this idea to rope in Abhishek Bachchan to lend his baritone voice. Because who better!”

Directed by Ravi Jadhav and produced by Krishika Lulla of Eros International, Banjo starring Riteish Deshmukh and Nargis Fakhri releases nationwide 23rd September 2016.
