While we were the first to tell you that Bollywood bombshell Sunny Leone will be seen in a significant role in the Telugu film ‘Burrakatha’, it has now emerged that Ronica Singh will be the film’s leading lady.
The Punjabi-born Chandigarh raised actress, who has done a couple of Punjabi films, will be making her Telugu debut opposite Naveen Chandra in the satirical drama. Having shot to fame with the Punjabi film ‘Ramta Jogi’, Ronica had a blooming modelling career before she switched loyalties to showbiz.
A source close to the unit reveals, “Earlier, Ashna Zaveri’s name made the rounds but due to reasons best known to the makers, they have finalised Ronica Singh as the heroine. She is expected to join the shoot soon.” The film, directed by Sanjeev Kumar, is already on floors. - SA
