Actor Balakrishna's forthcoming flick 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' is being directed by Krish aka Radhakrishna Jagarlamudi.
The much talked about movie is Balakrishna's 100th movie and the makers are planning to set a record in the actor's career to mark the memorable feat.
Many of the fans are eager to know as to who will be the actress in the high budgeted movie. Latest reports reveal that director Krish has approached Shriya Saran to play the lead role in the movie and that the actress has given her nod.
The regular shoot will kick start next week in Ramoji Film City.
"Gautamiputra Satakarni" is touted to be a period drama based on the life of a king of the same name, who ruled the Satavahana Empire (present-day Deccan region of India) during the second century CE.
The makers of the movie have informed that to play a queen in the movie, an actress requires experience to do the scenes which is the reason they have opted for Shriya Saran.
